Cyber and Digital Skills Competition for 11 to 16 year olds in the Yorkshire & Humber region

Cyber Switch Up is a digital & cyber skills competition aimed at students aged 11-18 years in Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.
Open to students in all secondary schools and colleges across the Yorkshire & the Humber region.
Free to participate Online qualifier, which can be completed in school or at home.
Chance to compete in at the in-person finals event on the 25th November 2025 at The University of Hull.
Chance of winning merch, trophies and other cool tech prizes for participants and their respective school or college.

Online qualifier (open to all) – a series of short exercises/puzzles on digital and cyber themes (one entry per person), with an e-certificate awarded to all participants.
In-person finals event for highest performing participants, where there will be a series of hands-on fun and challenging exercises/puzzles in a ‘gaming arena’ format based on digital and cyber themes – merchandise, trophies and prizes on offer to all participants!

Online Qualifier - Monday 29th September - Sunday 26th October 2025

Live Finals Event - Tuesday 25th November 2025

Participants must have the express support of their Teacher and/or Parent or Care Giver in order to compete in Cyber Switch Up 2025.
Participants must have access to a computer/device with internet access to compete in the online qualifier.
Participants and a responsible adult must be available on the 25th November 2025 to attend the in-person live finals event at the University of Hull, if successful in the online qualifier.
